I am Hinaba Sarvaiya this blog is very interesting blog because it's presented my experience of Youth festival in 2022 in Maharaja krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University organized the youth festival in university ground. I have to attend a youth festival as well and I like to enjoy every activity. Here we can see my experience of the Youth festival.
This festival starts with Kalayatra and it's like the energy of youth and also the participants and audience to see the Youth festival and enjoy it very well. I attended for the second time. First time I have represented my College and second time I am participating in a Department. Both experiences I get. It's a big opportunity to see the whole Youth festival in an enthusiastic way.
This is a reflective blog of the youth festival of 2022. As I was attending it for the first time I observed many new things about the youth festival. In this festival there are 3 days from 19 to 21 September. Festival was hosted by Takshashila college. Youth festival was organised almost after two years. This is the 30th youth festival. There are 34 events. The number of participants is around 750.
Themes represented in various around tableaux of kala yatra 18 sep.2022 Victoria park water tank to Amphi theater.
MKBUniversity organised a Youth festival and at that time Takshila Science and commerce college took the Yajman Pad. We have to celebrate the 30th inter college Youth festival "Amrut Rang-2022" Yuva urja Mohtsva. This festival starts with the "Kalayatra" and root is a Kaliyabida water tank to University. On 18/09/22 evening 4:30 P.M we reached in sharply. We have to represent our department In Kalayatra. Our theme is "Literature with Technology". Other Colleges participate with various themes. It's time for memories. We are very excited about upcoming events.
Kalayatra how to show it not just like to showcase of things but it's representing the students skills, enthusiastic feeling, energy also. It shows that the Bhavnagar also known for the Kala Nagri and Kalayatra it's not show one skill of students but it shows how students used their skill and represented their idea through events. This Kalayatra show that Social issues like women's empowerment, traffic rules, safety of people, youthfulness, and intelligent people who changed the world only through their hard work and their thoughts and education systems, and how to use technology in a modern-day.
Opening Ceremony:-
Opening Ceremony is like energy drink of festival and here we can talked about youth festival opening Ceremony like like students energy or enthusiasm to enjoying youth festival. This opening Ceremony at Amphitheatre and Chief guests likeJitubhai vaghani, Incharge Vice chancellor, Kirtiben Danidhariya, Abhishek Jain -director of wrong side Raju, Bhartiben Shiyal, Kaushik Bhatt, Hassen Safan, GM Sutariya sir, EC members etc. And it starts from 10 am to 1 o'clock pm. It's a grand opening. One interesting thing is the first performance of girls in songs of Ganesh. We have to enjoy it but the anchor says that what is special is that we can't guess that these girls can't listen to it. But she dances very well and opens like good.
One act plays
Every year in the youth festival we had lots of participation in one act play competition, and due to that it was very hard to manage all the performances in one day so we had two days for one act plays. And 30 minutes given to each performance. Extra 5 minutes to stage organization. This time the drama was in Vinod bhai Amlani Natyamanch or we can say Atal Auditorium.
Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence one act play was performed by Code 13. The play originally written in Marathi and translated into Gujarati by Kalpesh Vyas. The play was directed by Amit Galani. There are five characters in play.They all are Engineer students. The story revolves around a girl Megha whose father was died and they had their last paper by tomorrow. All other roommates are arguing and quarreling that what is important for the girl whose father was died, giving last paper or to attend funeral of her father. Shivani the most practical girl among all is in favour of giving exam while all other girls like Ragini and Pooja are in the favour of attending funeral of her (Megha) father. At last of the drama when shivani agrees that even if it was her father who died still she would choose to give exam. At that time pooja call to mother of shivani and drama tack twist. She is saying that aunty shivangi will give exam and then only she will come for funeral of her father. Shivani got shocked and started crying. As she came to know that he is her father who died not of Megha. Audience also got shocked as they thought it was Megha's father who died. Also there was a beautiful song at last, words of the song is about a father giving advice to his daughter to be strong. The title is Artificial Intelligence, that we find in play how all the girls by using their artificial intelligence convince shivani to give exam instead of attend her father's funeral.
Mime
Mime is a silent drama. Time limit for is 5 minutes. Also we can say it's a musical drama. There is no conversation, no property use excerpting stage, also black clothing and white face make-up is compulsory in Mime. In this Youth Festival, an event of Mime is organized at Vinod bhai amlani naty manch. (Atal auditorium). Time of mine was 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Mine I can see theme of like terrorist or soldiers fighting, technology like a how Roberts worked, Mulder image show through mine, patriarchal things i can see in mine. If you participate in mine same basic rules like that not used of any property like electric or any of gadgets, not used of voice, wearing symbolic dress it means used of black clothes. I see all mine amazingly presented. It was very surprising to see that. And it is very hard to perform very well and more practice is needed.
Skit
Skit is a short Five minute Comedy drama. Mainly skits try to satire through comedy. In the youth festival 2022, we had skit on the last day 21/9/2022, Wednesday. The skit was from 8 pm to 12:30 pm. Skit is very different from the one act play and mime. I am attending a skit event and I saw a skit that is a very comedic way to perform by participating. And here they use many varieties of gadgets. Many participants presented satirical things in a comic way. We have not gotten easily to what they say but the connection of death. And it gives a moral message to society how there are working or social problems, the government system shows in a satirical way.
Can you apply dramatic literary theories propounded by Aristotle (Tragedy), Ben Jonson (Comedy of Humor), Dryden (Play), Martin Esslin (Absurd theatre), Irving Wardle (Comedy of Menace) on the dramatic events presented in Youth Festival?
Yes, I can see many events that presented the idea of Aristotle theories. I see that the use of stage or other things like not any fire scene or any harrasm scene are not performed on stage that rules also follow in this youth festival. In skit I see that and it's presented both in a comic and satirical way. That way I talked about that in the youth festival of drama literary Theories used very well. And I connected it.
Quiz:-
This event was presented in Harendra Dave sahiyamanch. And the quiz event was divided into two days. First day only for AMCO types of questions asked and those who get a good score are appointed in the next level of competition. Second day of completion, participants sat in their groups and asked the question with the help of PPT. Made in PPT and show the question only and which option or right they tell the participants. This event is divided into two days and many rounds. In our department three students are participating: I, Hirva pandya, Nirav Amrelia. We couldn't be selected on the second day of participating in the quiz. We give our best. But little mistakes happen that are confusing in the right answer like A right and B right. But it was a good experience for us.
Lastly, write on whichever other events you attend and along with it, the overall feeling of experiencing Youth Festival - ponder upon this - it is known as 'festival of youthfulness' - युवानी का महोत्सव.
It's been a great opportunity to be part of the Youth Festival. We learned so many things, we made mistakes, we tackled problems, we lost, and won, and tried. In a real sense it is a 'festival of youthfulness'.
